Darin Duncan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency. The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors appointed Mr. Duncan to the board as an employee of California Water Service Company (Cal Water) on February 13, 2024.
Mr. Duncan currently serves as the Company’s Central Region Operations Director. In this role, he has operational oversight of the company’s water systems in the greater bay area. Darin has previously served in various leadership roles in Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs at Cal Water including managing the Company’s Bayshore and Bear Gulch Districts, which serve the cities of South San Francisco, Colma, San Mateo, San Carlos, Atherton, Portola Valley, Menlo Park, Woodside, and various areas in the county of San Mateo.
Mr. Duncan is a registered Civil Engineer with experience in water system design, operations, construction, and optimization. Darin is a State of California Certified Distribution Operator level D5 and Certified Water Treatment Operator level T3.
Darin is the responsible managing employee for the company’s state contractors license.
Mr. Duncan holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University. He is married with 2 children and lives in San Mateo.
